This week the New York Times Magazine "The Ethicist" column was titled "What Should I Do about my Bird-Killing Cat?" Columnist Kwame Anthony Appiah tackled the topic, offering Birdsbesafe cat collars as one of the ways to reduce cat predation on birds if you let your cat outdoors.
My former roommate's cat started bringing me birds and she now happily accepts her Birdsbesafe collar and has never caught a bird since so I know your collars really work and plus she looks extra adorable.
9 days in K is getting back to exploring her neighborhood. Birds building nests now. They are safer when they eat the low hanging berries.
These collars have helped so much! My cats (the black kitty in particular) were killing birds frequently. I tried bells which only drove my dog crazy but did not save any birds. I got these collars and they have helped probably 85-90%. I also made sure the cats were getting enough meat and water. Many birds have been saved since!! Please make more colors and patters.
They do launder well too.
Kitty is once again beautifully dressed and birds in backyard are once more safer.
