Both my cats tolerated their new bird be safe collars for a few days. Then one lost his in the neighbor's yard and brought a bird in 3 hours later, his first bird in 6 months. The other cat wore it for about a week and then refused to let us put it on him. So I guess the cats won for now. We will try again.

Found this dangerous cat as a 4 day old or so kitten in a church's parking lot. Yep and I think his mom abandoned him cause he is pure evil lol. He is so crazy that there is no way to keep him in the house he wants to go out to the yard and hunt. The problem is he hunts everything bunnies, birds, mouse, once I found a mole in my closet. ....so I needed a collar that said look I'm dangerous and now he is in a bright vibrant color with two huge bells on. Does it help? Yes the bigger animals have a chance lol! But the insects and lizards don't. I was concerned about the birds in my yard this has helped a lot. Now the mice in my yard? No chance I have no animals in my yard anymore I'm sure they see him coming. Good quality, fits easy over a collar, beautiful colors. Also if the color falls off I can see where it is now. I need to buy extra so don't buy them all my cat is on the prowl.

Tinx hasn’t worn it long enough to comment whether or not the birds are feeling safer when she is nearer to them.
Though I will say the collar is nicely made, the reflection strip looks great and she feels comfortable wearing it. She is more at home and that maybe a sign that birds are no longer her playmates to be found.

We had a collar with a large bell, but this just wasn't enough. Eco, our serial killer, brought in a bird a day. Now, after one week, we haven't had a bird!! We are so impressed with the Birdsbesafe collar. Not only are the birds safe, but the reflective strip on the collar keeps the cat safe.

Aside from the fact that my cat looks like a circus clown, this contraption has downgraded him from a stealth bird assassin to zero kills in two years. Take that, Frank!

I’ve used bibs on my cats in the past. These collar covers are better by far. The cat doesn’t resent wearing it at all, plus they aren’t able to work around it. And it does not impede their gait. I’ve watched my young cat, a budding mass killer of birds, stalk, lie in wait, etc. All in vain. So much so that she seems to have grown less enamored with birds overall. Maybe due to her zero success at catching them so far. I think this product is a brilliant breakthrough.

Prior to this collar, Jean Louise brought in two chipmunks, a baby rabbit and a bird, (only one fatality). Since she’s had the collar, she’s only caught one bird, but dropped it after I told her to put it down, (good girl). Sincei had added bells to her original collar, I call it her jingle necklace. ❤️

This is the third collar I have put on my little serial killer and it works so well, she’s unable to capture any songbirds as long as she has her bright collar on. Prior to the collars she was catching a couple a week. It’s been years now since she’s been able to capture a bird!

My cat has tolerated these for years now. He really doesn’t notice it all. But the birds do and avoid being massacred. Neighbors love it. He’s known as the Elizabethan Elton John.

The collar seems to be effective in protecting birds. Doesn't do much for chipmunks though. The cat is embarrassed by the collar, but I think it makes him look handsome. He's a feral boy and well known by neighbors because of his collar.

We always use the Birdbesafe colored collars and these breakaway inner collars work very well. Easy to snap on and take off.

We have had only 1 bird caught by our cats in 4 years while using these collars. As you can see in the photo the cat looks ridiculous but cute. I like the reflective trim that makes them stand out at night too.

I have a bengal kitten who can not resist her natural instincts. She loves chasing and catching birds, bugs, anything really. My neighbor is a bird guy and asked us to keep her inside. Instead of doing that I bought her this collar as a last resort and to my surprise, IT WORKS! she has not brought me a “gift” in a long time. She looks silly of course wearing it but definitely worth it and my neighbor has stopped complaining. That’s a win win in my book!

Its really tough when my beloved cats kill a bird. Wildcare, our local wild animal hospital and rehab recommended this product. I purchased a couple elastic cat collars to use with these BirdsBeSafe collar covers in February. It’s Labor Day weekend now and the cats haven’t caught a single bird all summer! I hand washed the collar covers once when they started looking dull to be sure the birds wouldn’t miss them. The light reflecting trim helps see the cats in the dark, an added bonus. I am so grateful this product exists! Every indoor/outdoor cat should have one!

I like how the collar looks, and surprisingly my cat, Birdie, doesn’t mind keeping it on. He has had it for about a week and still caught 2 birds so I’m not sure if this collar will help my guy.

This collar works so well! My cat hasn’t killed a single bird since I put it on her!

My cats aren’t necessarily the pickiest but they have had a bit of difficulty wearing other collars. So far this is the only collar they haven’t tried to take off. I haven’t ran into any problems with the collars as they do break away if the cats are caught onto something. The collar has a nice flexibility to it. Overall so far a good experience

I was extremely surprised when I first put this collar on my sass-pot, Pica. She has not shown a sign of caring about it on her whatsoever, she wasn't even mad at me for putting it on... which is saying something for her. Despite her size, she's quite the effective hunter. So hoping both her and the wildlife's health get some benefits. She's a lot easier to see at night too!

I've noticed she's not able to clean her upper chest below the collar, so I might try to figure something out for that. It is one of the best things watching her try though, lolol.

I can't help but be delighted every time I see her :)

This is a good quality product but for our boys we need a louder bell and easier on and off ability. We only put it on them for their supervised outings and the quick release is great for emergency- but kinda awkward to take on and off several times a day. The bell is too quiet in our opinion. Luckily the big collar has been doing the trick fantastically so no need for the extra bell right now.

They do stop the slaughter of outside wildlife but my cat has managed to loose all 4 that I have purchased

Well he can't seem to catch any more birds, but he looks smashing as a pacifist! Great product. Both our kitties wear them when we take them out on supervised field trips into the "big room" and it has stopped the bird-murders. Thank you!

My cat Zoey is the ultimate hunter, she can catch & kill multiple birds daily. In case you’re wondering, she is well fed too! This “clown kitty” has now caught 0 birds in the week she’s been wearing this!! It works as expected and we’re so happy with her again!

I used to have to rescue a bird every other day inside my house or clean up what was left of a bird. My cats have been wearing these collars for two weeks and apparently, the birds are safe!
