In Vermont, snow banks are starting to yield to the sunny days, and a little bit of last year's lawn is starting to show. This morning, I heard an old friend singing. Indeed, I saw my first robin of spring, and he/she was particularly dashing with an unusual eye stripe of white. Hello, Robin!

We just received a mention in a feature article in The Guardian (UK). Their story focused on the different options for controlling cat predation on birds, including confinement indoors, restricting outdoor hours, and our "colourful" cat products that use bright colors to warn birds of a cat's presence. When I started Birdsbesafe company in 2009, after inventing the product for my own cat, George, I did not imagine how many scientific field studies would eventually test the product's effectiveness. That number rose to seven studies, this week, with the publication of the Swiss field study being published in Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution.

Happy Spring, cat owners and bird lovers. Along with spring rain and greening plant growth, the the migratory songbirds are returning to the north of North America and other northern latitudes. In my yard, we celebrate the first American Robins coming to look for a nesting habitat. Their singing at dawn and dusk ushers in the welcome retreat of wintertime, while our last snowbank melts. Where we live, birdfeeders are removed for the warm months, to avoid attracting black bears!

After Covid conditions suspended USPS service to Australia and New Zealand last September, we are glad to announce we are able to resume US First Class Package shipment to Australia and New Zealand.
I just got it and put it on the cat. It fits well. I thought it would wider but it seems ok. I like the reflective edging. I only got for one cat and the other cat started to attack the one with the collar. I’ll report back when I find out how effective it is for the bird situation.
I adore these products I don't know how they work - but they do.

My former roommate's cat started bringing me birds and she now happily accepts her Birdsbesafe collar and has never caught a bird since so I know your collars really work and plus she looks extra adorable.
9 days in K is getting back to exploring her neighborhood. Birds building nests now. They are safer when they eat the low hanging berries.
These collars have helped so much! My cats (the black kitty in particular) were killing birds frequently. I tried bells which only drove my dog crazy but did not save any birds. I got these collars and they have helped probably 85-90%. I also made sure the cats were getting enough meat and water. Many birds have been saved since!! Please make more colors and patters.
They do launder well too.
